As it is known,
there were only six copies of the Caliph Osman (Uthman)
Qur'an. Three of them are kept in Cairo, two - in
Istanbul, but of those three which used to be kept in
Mawarounnakhr one is kept in the library of the Spiritual
Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan. As it is known Caliph Osman
was martyred while reading Qur'an. And the copy of Osman
Qur'an in Toshkent keeps blood stains on its pages made of
gazelle skin.
